Affiliate Referrals: CPA, Revenue Share and Tracking

An affiliate referral uses a tracked link to connect a visitor or new partner with a program. The program defines which action earns commission and how that commission is calculated.

Use the right kind of referral link

A customer link, a model-signup link, and a webmaster-recruitment link can serve different programs. Check the label in your account before placing one. An account registration alone does not tell you whether the offer’s qualifying action has been completed.

Track each placement separately

If your program provides tracking labels or sub-IDs, give each article, banner, or collection page its own label. Compare clicks, qualifying actions, and approved commission. Include your traffic and publishing costs when judging the result.

The niche-site directory shows the different collections linked from this website. Each placement should be measured on its own results.

Read the current program terms

Before promoting an offer, check permitted traffic, customer eligibility, payment thresholds, and payment timing in the program’s current account documentation.
